A person who draw inspiration from the real source of wisdom, my Lord and my Savior, Jesus Christ. I always tell myself that I am not a good writer because I'm not good in expressing my thoughts through words. I'm not even good in writing compositions but GOD knows when to reveal those gifts on me which is when I am going through tough times where I cannot boast myself but God's strength and perfect timing. I believe that this is what God wants me to learn: to completely trust in Him with all my heart and not to depend on my own understanding because God has greater plan for me and each and everyone of us.

Man In My Dreams

I was once a sleeping princess
And you were the man in my dreams
Been waiting for the time I’ll wake up and see you
And you will become my beau

You made me cry, you made me laugh
My inspiration for more than half of my life
I really thought you were “The One”
But someOne up there is leading me to a different one

I felt like you never see me at all
Even if you were my first fall
God knows the perfect timing
You started flirting when it is no longer my thing

The sleeping princess just woke up
And noticed that you were not there
And realized that the man in my dreams
Is no longer the man in my heart

My First Fun Run

Yesterday I joined my first fun run and I must say it was really tiring especially for someone who has no sleep and no exercise at all except for the warm up that was part of that event. Yes, it was tiring but it was fulfilling and inspiring at the same time. Fulfilling because I never realized that it wasn’t that easy until that day. There were a lot of times that I wanted to just stop and never finish the race or just do some shortcuts but during the race I had realizations that inspires me to go on and finish it.
There are a lot of reason why I finished the race. One, is the Delivery Lead of Accenture – GSKP really inspired me. I’m on the middle of the race and I was just walking already because I was so damn tired and I saw this big man who was passing through me – And he was GSKP. I can see and feel his tiredness but he never stop running though sometimes he just walked but still he didn’t stop. He inspired me not because he was GSKP but because I really felt his determination to finish it. I told myself I will not stop and I will finish this race even if I’m just walking most of the time.
I also saw a lot of couples running together even if the one can already go ahead and leave his/her partner, they chose to stick running together. I saw some who were really tired as well and they just walk together holding hands which I captured before I went ahead of them (bitter mode on. hahaha!)

I forgot to mentioned that I registered on this fun run because I wanted my “inaanak” Keisha to join with my friend, her mom Gudang (Godeth is her real name). And also I wanted to run with my teammates but for some personal reasons only James was able to run with us but I must say we really enjoyed it especially we got a lot of freebies from the booths after the run. And I also saw a lot of familiar faces from my previous teams and projects.

At first I actually registered for 5k (yabang) but thank God my friend Gudang ask me to run with her for 3k so we can easily catch-up with Keisha. But Keisha ended up running for 3k because Gudang was afraid that Keisha might be lost. So we run together though I went ahead of them because I was really determined at first to get a medal but after the gun start for 3k and I was just on the first U-turn I realized it wasn’t that easy as I was already gasping and having a hard time to breath so I started to slow down and walk and saw a lot of people behind me passing and went ahead of me.
There were a lot times that we – me and Gudang with Keisha – bumped into each other since the route of the race are just doing a lot of U-turns. It push me to go finish the race so that Keisha will be inspired not to stop the race as well. I was cheering Keish whenever I got to see them in the race. I was so proud of my inaanak seeing her finish the race with Gudang and surprisingly with James (who run for 5k). I ask Manong Bantay that I will just take a picture when I saw them close to the finish line.

I also remember this guy who is I think part of the committee who was riding a motorbike who gave a cheer to those runner who were almost near the finish line. “Go ma’am/sir, malapit na konti na lang.” He made me feel relieved that I’m close to the finish line. It helps. Honestly, after finishing the 3k race I felt the fulfillment. Sarap!!!!!
I have a lot of realizations after my first fun run aside from it was really tiring and it was not easy to get a medal 😁. I realized that I’m not healthy anymore. I get tired easily and it’s not a good sign. I need to get fit because I am accountable for this body and I have to be fit to be able to catch up with my lifestyle and I want to be healthy for my family and the people that surrounds me. I also realized that you can inspire people even if you are not aware of it with how you live your life. Live not just for yourself but also for the people you love and surrounds you. We can help other people by simply encouraging them  but you can encourage people effortlessly by living as example.
We need to realized that we are responsible for our actions and decisions that we make. Sometimes we choose to stop and do some shortcuts because we have to finish a race but at the end of the day it is not just finishing the race anymore it’s how we finish it.
This is my first run and it I’ll make sure that this will not be the last. This is the start of a new me.

Church

My BFFs May and Des invited me to go on Visita Iglesia* yesterday, March 24, 2016, to visit 7 churches in Manila which at first I’m hesitant because I’m a little tired from a midshift work and I would want to just stay at home and get an 8hour sleep but I still chose to go with them because I want to tour around and take this time to catch-up with them and even before I’ve been wanting to go around the City of Manila and learn and discover more about it.

As planned we went to seven churches and take some time to pray and get a little tour around the city.

Here’s the list of 7 Churches that we visit sorted based on where we visit first and so on:

1. Santissimo Rosario Parish Church

This church is located inside the University of Sto. Tomas Campus where we also did the station of the cross which I’ll share in a separate blog.

Groufie at the first church we visited. (L-R: Des, me and May)

2. Quiapo Church

From the name of the church itself it is located in Quiapo, Manila where I was able to buy 4 pcs. lemon worth 50pesosπŸ‘ŒπŸ». I was not able to get a good shot of the outside of the church because the place is also famous of having pick pocketers and just to be safe we just keep our phones inside our bag. Since the place normally has a lot of people, especially every Wednesdays and Sundays, because of the devotees of Black Nazarene the volunteers in the church already place a system on the entrance and exit of the people which I admire because the volunteers strictly imposed the system which made it more organized and lessen the chance to have stampede.

Maybe the simplicity of this church made it more inviting to the devotees.

3. San Agustin Church

From Quiapo church ride a jeep going to San Agustin Church where we were awestruck with every single detail of this architecture. The rawness from the outside and the state of the art design in the inside especially the ceiling that just not have humongous chandeliers but a very eye captivating work-of-art.

The classy front view of this church.

Take a look at the ceiling this made the 3 of us say “Wow! Ang ganda!”.

4. Manila Cathedral

One of the famous church here in the Philippines would be Manila Cathedral. We were not able to get inside because the mass already started and it is full already where most of the people just watch the mass in the HD monitor outside the church. This is not my first time to visit this church but I must say I appreciate it more in the evening maybe because of the lightings.

5. Malate Church

From Manila Cathedral we went straight to Malate church which is just walking distance away since both are situated inside Intramuros. The church is not as big as the other churches that we visited but it carries its own uniqueness.

Unable to get better picture because it’s along the street where cars are passing which is across the Rajah Sulayman Park.

6. Shrine of Jesus the Way, the Truth and the Life

This church is near SM Mall of Asia. Looks like this church is the most recently built church amongst the churches that we visited. Inside you will feel the solemnity because of the music  and the lightings.

7. Baclaran Church
This church is my most visited church because this is where my parents attend Sunday services. This is where I saw a devotees who walks in the aisle while they were all in bended knees and most of them were guys who has covered faces and wearing black shirts.

All 7 churches has its own beauty and uniqueness just like how God created each one of us. Let us also remember that our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit and each one of us are part of the church. I was a Catholic then and chose to convert to be a Born Again Christian which I must say I am truly grateful because we do have one God and that is our one and only Savior Jesus which gave me a strong a foundation in my faith. Being a Christian now gave me a  wider perspective and understanding of my faith and knowing that God is everywhere I know and I choose to believe that having a personal, closer and deeper relationship with God is what truly important. Of course there are still a lot of differences in the beliefs but we still should stand firm and live with God, in God and for God alone.

I also believe that every church that are built are for fellowship and a place where we can praise and honor God and share the truth – His Word.

*Basically, Visita Iglesia is one of the Filipino tradition which normally being observed every Lenten Season by Catholic people where they visit 7 churches and pray.

Single Walang Problema

Single walang problema dahil marami kang panahon
Malamig man ang panahon ng mga single ngayon

Malamig pero masaya,
Masaya dahil may pag-asa.
May pag-asa na makikilala pa rin kita
Sa tamang panahon sabi nga nila

Coron 2015

Day 1
It was a clear sky when we depart
Then it started to become dark
The rain starts to drop
But the weather won’t make us stop
We went through our Day 1 itinerary
We just trusted God’s arbitrary
As we were in the midst of 700 steps to Mt. Tapyas
We noticed the beautiful rainbow came to pass
Day 2
The rain is falling when we woke up
Same as Day 1 we didn’t stop
Every island we visit, the clouds became clear
We were awe with God’s creation andΒ forget our fear
On the boat, we met new friends
First, are the honeymooners who happens to be my Accenture colleagues
Second, is the guy who made our trip happy and exciting
He is one of the funniest tour guide and his name is Kuya Jing
Day 3
As the day starts, the clouds are becoming darker and darker
And the wind blows harder and harder
It seems that the rain Β will never stop dropping
And the waves of the sea keeps on swaying
But God’s power is greater than any force
Our faith and hope came from the One and only Source
Our itinerary was change from Package C to B
Which is better than what we planned initially
Last Day
Indeed, it was a rainy and a windy weather
But it was the perfect vacation ever
We had a bumpy and turbulent flight
But the enjoyment are far higher than our height
Everything may not happen according to our plan
Nevertheless, our trip was truly an adventure and fun
This vacation will not be complete
If not for my friends that no one can beat

Unfinished. Undone.

To send or not to send
The questions in my head
To trigger or not to trigger
The decisions I have to ponder

One single step everything will surely change
One big decision is something I have to gauge
A lot of questions popping in and out of my head
A bunch of things to consider while lying in my bed.

Moving forward or stepping backward are the options I have
The only prayer in my heart is to do what I love
Another option is to take a leap of faith
For the dream ever since I have but I’m so afraid to take

My heart says this might be the last
My mind says you can’t even take a grasp
Nothing will change if I won’t take a step
It will become a forever question if i will not bet

Something About the Promise (SAP)

God never promise me to be in S.A.P.
Somehow in IT capability
In IT industry to be part
Is the seed He planted in my heart

Right even before I graduated
Data analyst is the job that He first granted
The desire never lost though I gain friends and confidence
DSI has become my second home for 2 years, more or less

Only faith is what I have when I entered Accenture
PCS was my second career where I started to venture
Humility and family in my 3years tenure
I consider my PCS experience as a milestone and fun adventure

The seed I never knew how will possibly grow
Only trust and faith which in my heart I let it flow
I seek His discernment before I actually claim
Until His perfect timing finally came

IJP* is the door that God opened for me.
I just believe in His Word and trust in Him faithfully.
Looking back on the things that I have to go through
God put everything together in which I never had a clue.

My work reminds me how faithful God is.
In every Words and all His promises.
In times at work of all pressures and stress
I’ll remind myself that my job is an answer to Something About the Promise.

*IJP or Internal Job Posting – is an internal job openings for the regular employees who are interested to move or shift from another field of career.
